I missed our March meeting; it was a close-run thing between Marilyn's workshop, always good fun, and very exciting, and the Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch Show in Birmingham!

 

  Lyn has forwarded photos; here are some of them.
The idea was to make the felt.................

 

 

.....and mould it over a solid shape, such as a bottle, or plant-pot..........

Next meeting at the Quaker Meeting House is on 21^st March. It’s Felting with a Resist, our tutor is Marilyn Hughes.

 

Requirements

A vessel, bottle or vase, plant pot or any interesting shaped vessel –this will be left in, so don’t use your best vase!

Washing up bowl.

2/3 towels – not white or your best ones ( there is a small chance that dye may come out of the fleece )

2 Plastic bags – Supermarket

Jug or clean milk bottle for sprinkling water

Rubber gloves if you have sensitive hands. Optional – Waterproof apron.

If you have some pipe lagging, a 2ft pole or similar to roll the fleece round, this would be helpful
