February Meeting .....Machine Embroidery

Our 17th February meeting is Machine Embroidery with popular tutor Jan Hicks, and will be a good opportunity to experiment with modern techniques. You will need to bring:

Sewing machine (need not be fancy)
Usual sewing kit, including scissors
Threads (machine and thicker)
Hoop (8" -10")
Scraps of fabric (assorted, inc sheers and velvets, etc.)
Firm cotton to practise on

Jan will bring oddments of fabric and soluble fabric will be for sale.

Keswick Embroiderers' Guild

The Friends Meeting House in Keswick was badly flooded once again, at the end of 2015, and we have , regretfully, had to relocate until further notice. If you need to know where we are, we can be contacted through the Embroiderers Guild website. Hopefully, we will be back at the meeting House soon!

We are a small, enthusiastic group of stitchers, with a wide range of skills and interests in a variety of textile work. We meet on the third Thursday of each month (September to June) at the Friends' Meeting House, in Keswick, opposite the Bus station, and convenently near to Booths' supermarket. We aim to start at 10am, but there is always a cup of tea or coffee if you arrive by 9.45. We are keen to welcome visitors and new members to our sessions.
