'Go with the Flow'
This month our workshop was led by member Lyn Armstrong, who brought along one of her pieces to inspire us.
We began by adding colour to artist's canvas with silk paints in suitably 'underwater' colours and started to build up texture using teased-out silk 'tops'. For some, free machine-embroidery was new, so this was useful experience in straight and zig-zag stitching.
We added threads, Angelina, silk paper, small pieces of fabric.
until all the pictures took on their own character.......
There was great concentration.......

And discussion of the techniques........
And we were all pleased with what we achieved in a day. All works to be continued at home!
