First Meeting of 2013
Happy New Year!
It's some time since the last post on our blog; problems with PC s and internet connections are hopefully solved, with a lot of new kit!
Our December meeting took the form of our annual lunch at the 'Horse and Farrier' in Threlkeld. We enjoyed delicious food, good company, and exchanged hand-made tree decorations.

We decided to have a very relaxed meeting to start the new year, with everyone bringing along their own sewing instead of a workshop. Mostly, members chose to work on the seed pods we began on Shirley McKeand's workshop, and it was interesting to see the different interpretations of the same idea.
We made plans for the Regional 'Neck-tie challenge', and all came away with a tie or two, to begin work.
Marilyn and Lyn whetted our appetites for the next two workshops, which will involve silk paper, machine embroidery, and felt with a resist. (Two different workshops, I hasten to add!)
A very gentle start to a new year of textile work, sure to get much more hectic.
No pictures this time, sadly, but full service should be resumed soon!
